About Us
Rick and Betty Bullock started Bullock's Deli in the small town of Denton, MD in 1976 when they bought Lockerman Shell Station from Ms. Anna Lockerman which was located in a building adjacent to the current location. They quickly outgrew there and purchased the current locations property from the Gitta Family, which were bee keepers and friends of the Bullock family. As the years have gone by they continued to grow their family and business. Having three kids, Ritchie, Michele and Angie, it was difficult to juggle a new business and family life but somehow they made it work. "Working with family can be difficult and rewarding at the same time. The rewarding part is that we got to spend so much time together". The memories that were made during all those years are now treasures. In 2011, their youngest daughter Angie was diagnosed with Accute Myloid Leukemia. It was a trying time for everyone and unfortunately Angie lost her battle in 2013 at the age of 32. She was the beautiful and proud mother of a 9 year old daughter Ashley. The family together take part in raising Ashley as Angie would have. Bullock's Deli is a big supporter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and raise money every year through events at their location. Since 2013 they have raised over $75,000 for LLS.
After 45 years of marriage, they are the proud grandparents of 4 wonderful grandchildren, Kailee, Ashley, Joe and Angelina. "We are excited to see what their future holds!"
